Aside the calls for private sector capitalists to invest further in the entertainment industry which includes music and film sectors, there are roles also expected of government; be it in a capitalist, socialist or communist run country. Whatever the system of government is, Government can play significant roles in the enhancement of the standards of the entertainment industry by doing the following:

1.FACILITATING THE APPROVAL OF STRINGENT ANTI-PIRACY LAWS
For decades, the wanton activities of pirates have plunged billions of revenues belong to producers, down the drain. Piracy describes unauthorized duplication of intellectual property belonging to a producer. Because Producers bear the loss in revenue, it fuels apathy or loss of interest in the hearts of producers who produce movies, music, gaming activities.
As a result of this, there will surely be a drop in revenue generated to the government from the entertainment sector. Already, Billions of Naira have been lost to piracy in the entertainment sector of Nigeria. To bring the activities of pirates to a near-absolute end and discourage aspiring pirates from embarking on the selfish venture, responsible governments must facilitate the approval of laws which seek to severely punish any convicted pirate.
Massive campaign by agents of government should also be commenced on print and electronic newspapers, as well as on ratio stations in order to ensure the newest and severe punishments for convicted pirates are in order and will be diligently followed to the latter end.

A number of Olympic-standard theatres and modern stadia erected across cities of the country can improve the level of sport awareness within the situated area, more locals fans can engage in live sport viewing, and many local talents can be groomed for the next Olympic games or national sports events.
Furthermore on government funded festivals, the state government of Cross River state in Nigeria adequately funds the famous annual Calabar festival in order to bring it to international repute and standard. Left for the private key players, not much would have been done. Government funding and collaboration in the planning can make huge difference.

4.MAKING A STATEMENT IN VIDEO GAMING
Government can organize e-sport otherwise called electronic sports for gaming experts. Gamers are touted to be extremely intelligent persons and a useful tournament for gamers across the federation is a unique way to keep their minds engaged and distracted from youthful exuberances like cyber fraud, or incidents like rape. Generally, it will lead to decrease in crime rate as the tournament can be televised so that public can participate passively and enjoy the entertainment.
In fact, there will be medals for e-sport in the 2022 Asian games, just as China approved e-sports as an official sport. Also, the South Korean ministry of culture, tourism and sport the Korean e-Sports Association ( KeSPA ) in the year 2000 in a bid to promote e-sports otherwise called gaming tournaments.
Other governments of the world can adopt these policies and develop and promote e-sports. It is an innovative way to engage more members of the society and much revenue can be gained from it as well.

Each of these industries are too broad that the major key players need unique approaches to solve their problems and enhance the over-all industry.
